History
The Las Virgenes Bookmobile began serving the outlying areas of Calabasas,
Hidden Hills, and Topanga Canyon in January 28, 1992.
Collection
The collection currently consists of 5,906 books; 23 periodical subscriptions;
1,372 videorecordings; 1,250 audiorecordings; books-on-tapes; compact discs; and
book/cassette sets.
Services
Reference and Children's Programs (Summer Reading Program, bookmark contest
and other special children's programs).
Facilities
A "library on wheels", the Las Virgenes Bookmobile provides service to rural
and remote areas. At 23 feet in length, the bookmobile can accommodate
approximately 1,500 volumes of materials.
