History
Castaic Library opened November 8, 2008 with over 20,000 books, DVDs and CDs. Before the library’s opening, Castaic residents were served by the Santa Clarita Bookmobile.
Collection
Castaic Library has a wide selection of materials for adults, children and teens. The County of Los Angeles Public Library owns over a million circulating items, any of which can be ordered for pickup at Castaic Library.
Services
Castaic Library is a modern and interactive library. There are two self-checkout stations and a self-serve computer station for making computer reservations. The Library offers storytime and art activities for children, programs for teens and adults and help using the library and locating information.
Facilities
Castaic Library has a large children’s area, teen lounge and three large study tables equipped with electrical outlets for laptops. There are 17 dedicated computer stations for adults/teens and children as well as Wi-Fi access.
